Principal Ar. Mandar V. Parab is an alumnus of L.S. Raheja School of Architecture.
While studying Architecture he simultaneously gained education in the field of Interior Design. He
completed his Govt. Diploma in Interior Design education in the year 1994 and went on to complete
his Architecture in 1996 with 1st class honors. He also completed his Master in Architecture
(General) with 1st Class honors, from Rachana Sansad affiliated to Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra
Open University, Nashik in the year 2008.

A mindful leader and a diligent administrator added to his keen passion for teaching makes him
balance his teaching and professional career admirably. He has been associated in the capacity
as full time and visiting professor with several institutions imparting architecture and
interior design education for the past 25 years.
A practicing architect, he has worked on several commercial, residential and institutional
projects till date. He is a Runner up award recipient of COA recognized Architectural design
competition for Octroi Check Post of Mumbai organized by MCGM. He was felicitated by Society
Interiors Awards for his contribution in Profession and Education in the year 2019.
His association L.S. Raheja School of Architecture & School of Interior Design has been ongoing
for the past 25 years. Initially associated as a visiting teacher, and since 2010 as full time
core faculty, mandar Parab was appointed Head of Department in 2014, eventually taking over as
Principal in 2018 and serving his alma mater with dedication. Throughout his teaching career he
has been extremely critical of the teaching learning methods. He has always believed in
transferring and sharing knowledge for culturing new generations of students as well as
contemporary teachers. Under his guidance, adopting innovative pedagogics relevant for the
industry has always been a prime focus at the institute. He formulated the course syllabus for
the Modular interior Design Programme and with his efforts the B.Voc (ID) programme was started
at the institute. Out of the many first time resources at institute, under his eminent vision
the institute initiated the ‘On campus Interviews’ through placement cell for the graduating
students.
He is a guide and mentor to many in subjects like Design Dissertation, Advance Building
Construction, Building Services, and Interior Design. He has written articles and conducted
lecture series for Quality improvement training of various Industries. He has extensively
travelled on study programmes with students in India and Internationally.
Ar. Arvind Khanolkar

Ar. Arvind Khanolkar has more than 35 years teaching experience of guiding students in Architectural
Design, technical subjects such as Building Construction, Graphics and Services, of which the past
15 years have been dedicated to bringing LSRSoA to the stature it enjoys today. Appointed Principal
of L.S Raheja School of Architecture in December 2007 He retired in August 2018 post which he has
been the guiding star for all the students, teachers and staff as Professor – Design Chair.

During his previous tenure as I/c Principal at Academy of Architecture, he was honored by the
University of Mumbai by appointment as a ‘member of Adhoc Board of Studies’. He has the credits
of being the architect and designer for the bungalow of the Vice-Chancellor of Mumbai
University.
Arvind Khanolkar who has studied his First Three years of Architecture at Bandra School of Art,
Bandra (West) and fourth to seventh year at Academy of Architecture, Mumbai, graduated in
1975-76. He has won several awards including the ‘Prof. Claude Batley Memorial Fund Prize’ for
outstanding Performance in Design, G.D. Arch. in the final year examination conducted by
D.T.Education.

Ar. Sachin Prabhu
PROFESSOR
Sachin Prabhu is an Architect from Sir J.J. College of Architecture, Mumbai, 1991 with First Class
Honours. He has completed M. Arch. General in August 2009 with First Class from Rachna Sansad
affiliated to Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University of Nasik. He has also completed the
Diploma Course in Interior Design and Decoration successfully from L.S. Raheja School of
Architecture Bandra (West) in May 1985.

Architectural miniature model making, as Vastu consultant from 1988 till date.
Having made education his priority and passion, he has been teaching full time since 2005, and
at LSRSoA since June 2008. Presently, he is Professor at L.S.Raheja School of Architecture. He
is a versatile teacher for all subjects with a wide range from Design to Technical applications
for all five years of architecture including Design Dissertation.

Ar. Anmol Warang graduated from the Academy of Architecture, Mumbai in 2003 and has completed

Architects, Pentaspace Consultants Pvt. Ltd. etc since 2004.

buildings. In the past 5 years he has extensively worked on approximately 50 redevelopment
projects all across Mumbai in capacity as Design Consultant with Pentaspace Consultants. He

Bank, Bennet Coleman & Co., JSW Cements, IDFC Bank and many more as his list of noteworthy

He has written articles on F.S.I and redevelopment in Mumbai, works as a redevelopment

competitions and also received awards for many of them. Urban housing is his core area of
interest. One of the senior faculties, he is a Design Dissertation guide, teaches Architecture
Design and Technical Subjects, conducts electives on redevelopment, is involved in various
administrative committees, is the IQAC coordinator, member of the Research and Design Cell,
member of Placement Cell and also an approved external juror at Nagpur University. He has taught
at LSRSoA as a lecturer from 2008 to 2012, as a visiting lecturer from 2012 to 2016 and since
2016 is Associate Professor at the institute.
A keen sportsperson he plays semi-professional cricket, enjoys photography, is an avid traveller
ever ready to explore the unseen thus ensuring that no amount of work hinders the pursuit of

Ar. Meghana Patil
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Meghana completed her Bachelors in Architecture with a First Class from Rachana Sansad’s Academy of
Architecture in 2009 and her Masters in Construction Management with a Distinction from Rachana
Sansad’s Project Management Institute in 2014. She has been a full time faculty at the L.S. Raheja
School of Architecture since 2011. Before joining the institute she has worked on several
hospitality, commercial and industrial projects as a Project architect at Associated Architects and
R.V. Dalvi and Associates.

With over eleven years of industry experience, she is the co-founder and Principal Architect at
Rohan Patil Architects. In the past decade she has worked on residential projects in Panvel, Pen
and Nagpur. She has also worked on varied and multiple interior design projects.
Meghana believes that best teaching requires innovation, interaction and constant upgradation of
knowledge; and her work helps her achieve this goal. She has been an invitee multiple times, for
Faculty ExChange Programs and teaching collaborations with other architectural colleges. She is
also a certified special juror for the examinations conducted by Nagpur University.
At L.S. Raheja School of Architecture, Meghana has been integral at aiding organisation and
execution of several events through the years. She is also a senior member of the faculty team

Ar. Niroppama S. Sawant

Niroppama completed her Bachelors of Architecture in 1989 from Sir J.J. College of Architecture,
Mumbai. She has gathered more than 30 years of professional experience working with notable
architects like Somaya Kallapa Consultants, Ar. Kamu Iyer of Architects Combine, Ar. Puran Kumar of
studio PKA, Anil Salian & Associates and alongside also set up her own design consultancy.

She has worked on and executed several projects of varying scales and variety gaining experience
in all aspects of master planning, designing, detailing, management and execution of
Architectural, Interior Design projects.; such as Residential Housing for Gundecha Builders &
Acme Developers, Institutional buildings for SVKM at their Shirpur campus, Housing & Multiplex
for Kaul’s Heritage Township at Vasai (w). To her credit are also various Corporate, Banking and
Residential Interior projects such as; Hallmark Honda Showroom & Service centre at Juhinagar,
Corporate Offices for Castrol India Ltd, UTI Bank, Residence Interior for Uday Kotak at NCPA
Apartments as well as sample flats for several developers.
She is into full time teaching since 2013, and joined L S R in August ’19 as a full time core
faculty. She has also completed her Masters in Architecture-Landscape from LSR, where she ranked
first and topped all the six semesters of the course. She has also received a special
commendation for her thesis in the Prabhakar Bhagwat Student Thesis Award 2019, organized by
ISOLA.
She continues to partner with her husband in their architectural consultancy firm S S n A, which
specializes in Weekend houses, Resorts and Residential Interior projects, balancing both her
academic and professional commitments.
Niroppama enjoys interacting with young minds and finds it invigorating and enjoyable. The

Ar. Arun Fizardo

Arun is an architect from Indian Education Society’s College of Architecture, Mumbai University

key forces in motivating students and guiding them to achieve their goals. She was instrumental
in starting a Lecture series ‘Insights’ at LSRSA which invited young architectural practises to
the school to interact which students and bridge the gap between academics and professional
industry. She has also successfully led the role of guiding the students for the Editorial
magazine ‘Literarchi’ and has been instrumental in publishing the yearbook of the school since
the year 2015. Mridula has also been a jury member for international Design Competitions hosted

Ar. Shraddha Palande

Shraddha Palande completed her B.Arch from Samyak Sankalpa College of Architecture (Mumbai
University) in 2015 with first class. She completed her M.Arch in Landscape Architecture from L. S.
Raheja School of Architecture with first class.
Before pursuing her master’s degree, she worked as an intern at Space Enviro Architects on Architectural
and Industrial projects and then worked as an Architect at Arunkumar Designers and Consultants Pvt. Ltd.
where she got an opportunity to work on large scale Landscape projects.

Ar. Ninad Sansare
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Ninad completed his Bachelor in Architecture from LBH College of Architecture (Mumbai
University) in 2017 with 9 point CGPA securing the third position in Mumbai University.

Ar. Deepa Desai
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Deepa is a practising architect with four years of experience. She completed her
graduation at Asmita College of Architecture, Mumbai and pursued her Masters in Urban conservation in
Architecture at Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and environmental studies, Mumbai
with first-class honours.
She has been a part of the editorial team in 2017 for the Reflections of KRVIA 2007-17.

Ar. Charvi Kamat
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Charvi Kamat completed her B.Arch.from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology
(SVIT), Vasad in 2014 and joined SnK where she worked under the tutelage of Brinda somaya.
She led a number of commercial & institutional projects in SnK from concept to execution and acquired
hands-on knowledge of professional practice before persuing her master’s degree.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Swanand completed his Bachelors in Architecture from Bharati Vidyapeeth College (Mumbai
University) in May 2008. He completed his MSc in Sustainable and Low-Energy Architecture from London
Metropolitan University, United Kingdom with a postgraduate distinction, and completed his second
masters in Landscape Architecture from L. S. Raheja School of Architecture (Mumbai University) with a

Ar. Mildred Jose
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Ar. Mildred Jose completed her Bachelors in architecture from LBH College of Architecture,
Bandra in 2010,with first class. She has also obtained a Master’s degree of M.Arch in Urban Design from
Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute in 2013 with first class honours.
She started her career with Ar. Solanki and Associates as an intern while pursuing B.Arch. After
attaining her degree, she worked as a Junior Architect with G.D. Sambhare and Associates and Della
Tecnica.

Architect, she has worked primarily on healthcare, interiors, landscape and other architectural
projects. After completing her Masters degree, she worked with Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL) as an urban
design trainee and consultant for a prestigious project proposal for the city of Bombay.
She is an Assistant Professor and has an experience of 6 years in teaching. She teaches Urban Design
& Town Planning, Architectural Design, Humanities,Municipal Drawing, Working Drawing, Architectural
theory and Building Services.
She has a prime interest in research, she has presented and written papers on several platforms and
is also involved in editorial works. With a profound interest in historical studies, she completed
her 1st Year of MA in history with first class and is currently awaiting her final examination

Ar. Mildred Jose completed her Bachelors in architecture from LBH College of Architecture,
Ar. Neeta M. Sarode, a practising architect, completed her graduation in architecture in 1998 from
Rachana Sansad’s Academy of Architecture and completed her Masters in Environmental Architecture in 2017
with a first class, from Rachana Sansad affiliated to YMCOU. She has been teaching in LSRSoA since 2001
and is proud to be a part of the faculty team.
Ar. Mugdha Bakde Deshpande
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Mugdha is an architect from VNIT, Nagpur passed with First Class Honours in 2006 and
M.Arch in Urban Design from SPA, Delhi in 2009.
She worked with Ar. Hafeez Contractor, Kapadia Associates Pvt Ltd and ABM Architects Pvt Ltd.
Professionally she worked as a Team

Leader, Senior Architect and handled several residential and commercial projects.
Currently she is working with LSR for Architecture as an Assistant Professor since June 2013. She is
teaching Building Services, Architectural Design, and Town Planning and also conducts an elective
based on Urban Design.
Ar. Krishnan Venkateshvara
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Krishnan has completed his bachelor of architecture from L.S. Raheja School of
Architecture in 2001. He is partner at Krishnan Parvez Architects, KPa established in 2003 and have
since then done numerous architectural, interior design projects. He has been associated with L.S.
Raheja School of Architecture, in the capacity of full-time adhoc since academic year 2018-19.
Ar. Gargi Karve
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Ar. Gargi Karve has graduated from L.S.Raheja School of Architecture, Mumbai, in the year
2014.
She has ranked 2nd in state of Maharashtra at the Mumbai University Examinations T.Y.B.Arch, with many
scholarships from TATA and IIA during all five years of B.Arch.

She has completed her Post Graduation from CEPT University, Ahmedabad with Majors in Architecture
Design and
Minors in Urban Design in the year 2019. Her professional journey started from working with one of
the reputed
Architects of India, Chandrashekhar Kanetkar. The projects ranged from bunglows to club houses and
town
planning. She has also worked with one of India’s top Architecture firms, Edifice Consultants Pvt.
Ltd. For
over two years. Being part of the Think Tank Vertical at ECPL, she worked on array of projects such
as
Museums, Stadiums, Sports facilities, Hotels & Resorts, Hospitals and so on.
As Faculty, she has worked at Aditya College of Architecture in 2016-17 where she contributed in
subjects such
as Architecture Design, Humanities, Software electives, Graphics, Freehand and Landscape Design.
Here, at
L.S.Raheja School of Architecture she has undertaken similar subjects and is intending to enhance
the students
with knowledge and skill sets which shall help them thrive in their professional journey.
