Hi, I'm Ar. Kunal Angane from batch of 2013, I, after working with a renowned architect in Dubai,
and
developers corporate setup. I am now running my own firm. Me studying in LSRSoA was like being in a
Gurukul. Being naive and away from home in the world, full of education to imagination.
...
It was easy being lost, but our faculty deciphered our
capabilities, channelled our thoughts, and challenged us to think beyond architecture. Thus, by
building confidence and developing our personalities.
Being among the first batches of LSRSoA, and NASA-unit secretary to get the prestigious Le
Corbusier trophy home after nearly two decades, LSRSoA has honed me to be a strategist yet
responsible, a team player yet a leader.
Today, some of us are architecture professionals, some in real estate, academicians, design
journalists, project managers, landscape architects. L.S. Raheja School of Architecture has
helped each one of us to build our character and develop the right attitude towards design.
Each of the quality and education that I have walked out with from this institution is my
strength to be a better professional, and to be a person that my family is proud of.
I would've been a lesser architect and lesser human being. Had it not been a part of L. S.
Raheja School of Architecture.
Ar. Resham Makhija
Batch of 2014
Hi, my name is Resham Makhija . I graduated from L.S. Raheja School of
architecture with my bachelor's in 2014. And then I went on to do my master's at Illinois Institute
of technology, and I graduated from there in 2017. So the scariest part about actually going through
my masters was trying to figure out if I could be equally violent or I could keep up with people on
a global level.
...
And that's when I realized how much LSRSoA had an influence over the shaping
of me becoming an and becoming an architect. So not only does it give me the confidence to
pursue my skills, go ahead and display it at a global scale. It taught me everything that I know
today about architecture. The college itself, the infrastructure, the way the faculty works
toward supporting you and your needs are something that I don't think I've seen in any other
institution. So, that's one reason why I absolutely look back with pride on my days at LSR,
besides the five
most interesting years of my life. I made friends that lasted me a lifetime. I had professors
that I'm still in touch with and I can't imagine my life without. I have an education or degree
to support what I'm doing today. So there's just nothing that I can't credit to my college. And,
two people that actually stood
out to me within my five years of architecture at LSRSoA, Mridula Ma’am. She was our class in
charge and on day one, I realized that her role is going to be super significant in my life,
because the amount she cared and the dedication that she puts in for each and every student is
unbelievable. So if you have her as a teacher consider yourself lucky, and the second person for
me was Anuj
Sir, he was my thesis guide and oh my God, everything that I have asked him to do for me, he has
done, he's gone way above and beyond what most professors. So the two people that actually stand
out for me and, um, yeah, the best five years of my life.
Ar. Amit Nambiar
Batch of 2014
Hi. I am Amit, I work as a computational designer. I did my undergrad in
architecture from L.S.Raheja School of Architecture. I passed out in the year 2014. I really enjoyed
the time that I spent in my college over there, but it was a good mix of which allowed all of us to
explore different aspects of academia, of practicing architecture, about pursuing your interests in
extracurricular activities and also exploring life as a student in college.
...
And that's when I realized how much LSRSoA had an influence over the shaping
of me becoming an and becoming an architect. So not only does it give me the confidence to

Ar. Jay Shah
Batch of 2019
Greetings to all. I, Jay Shah, graduated as an architect in 2019 from LSRSoA,
which has played an integral role in my journey. I am overwhelmed to be part of this institution,
which has provided a stable platform for realizing our capabilities and provided first and practical
experience.
...
The true strength of our college lies within the expansiveness of our core
faculty and their zeal to educate and nurture the students, not only in academic activities, but
also with the extracurricular site visits, international competitions and exhibitions. And
lastly, I would like to add that LSRSoA has given me the confidence, courage, and the strength
to pursue my career further as a junior architect at a design firm in suburban Mumbai.
Ar. Prachi Kadam
Batch of 2020
Hi, my name is Prachi Kadam, I am a 5th year student in L.S. Raheja School of
Architecture. When I started this course. I wasn't really sure what to expect from it since it's
such a vast field, however, four years down the line, I've come to realize that my college and my
teachers play a very important role in providing us with the necessary, theoretical knowledge and
practical exposure that's needed to explore this field.
...
Our college also has given us the opportunity to be a part of various
workshops and also national competitions like NASA, these platforms have helped shape us and us
as an individual. Right now during the global pandemic our college is taking immense efforts to
make college and online lectures enjoyable. That's the best part of our college: it always
pushes you further and helps you grow. Right now this is my last year of architecture, which
makes me sad that it is my last year. However I hope I am able to implement what I have learnt so
far in years to come….
Ar. Kimaya Tendulkar
Academic Year 2020-21 (T.Y..B’Arch)
Hi everyone. I am Kimaya Tendulkar, currently a third year architecture student
in LSRSoA. With the wide spectrum of opportunities and the constant support of the faculty that this
college offers. I have seen a constant growth in myself and the interest that I have in pursuing
architecture. The fact that the college gives the students a platform to portray their talents
beyond academics every year through the Annual festival; has played a major role in the development
that I see in myself and my fellow mates.
...
It just makes this five years journey a lot more interesting. The college
offers an amazing amalgamation of a wide range of opportunities, which ensures every student's
all around development and keeps them determined to pursue the career.
In spite of the uncertain stagnant that the world is battling today, the college has been trying
their level best to keep academics ontrack through online lectures and classrooms.
It just makes us feel even more fortunate to be a part of this amazing institution.
Ar. Arushka Shastry
Academic Year 2020-21 (T.Y..B’Arch)
Hi, I'm Arushka Shastry, a third year architecture student at L.S. Raheja School
of Architecture. As a student here, I've seen myself learn and grow with the constant motivation
from our faculty who keep inspiring us to bring out our best. We've all had the opportunity to
explore our talents here in various fields, during events in workshops, held all around the year and
our annual first Aakar, where we get to showcase them.
...
With the mix of extracurriculars and academics, the work environment here
keeps us determined. We are also given exposure to architecture around the country and the world
through scheduled domestic and international study tours. The professors here have always made
sure that we believe in ourselves and our work. Despite a global pandemic and a national
lockdown, they made sure mics don't get affected by it and helped us get through these tough
times.
We are very lucky to have them and be a part of this.
Ar. Shreya Rangaraj
Academic Year 2020-21 (T.Y..B’Arch)
Hi, this is Shreya Rangaraj, a third year student at L.S.Raheja School of
Architecture. The past two years in this college has been my home ground to learn, create, explore,
and develop new ideas in both architectural and non architectural circles from the elocution
competition, tapping into my extempore skills, to the crazy and abstract design briefs that brought
out the undiscovered creative skills i had.
...
From working and being part of NASA that helped me work as a team and
sharpening my competitive skills, publishing and launching documentation book that brought out
the little author in me, these diverse and various platforms given by my college helped me
develop shape and nurture my growth towards a very holistic and enriched architecture learning
experience.
This wouldn't have been possible without the environment in our college. The platforms offered
to develop ourselves as individuals and the timely support and guidance of our faculties and the
consistent effort in trying to bring out the best in each one of us.
Ar. Shazneen
Academic Year 2020-21 (T.Y..B’Arch)
Hi, I'm Shazneen and I'm currently in the third year of architecture. So I'm
sure people must have told you all that architecture is already difficult because with a lot of late
nights of submissions, hurdles, but I'm sure under the right guidance, it is not all that difficult.
At LSRSoA we have super supportive faculty and all year round, we take part in these workshops,
seminars and events.
...
So there is a common platform created where there is a generous exchange of
ideas and information with your seniors and juniors within ourselves. And it's not just
restricted to our college, but we also take part in a lot of inter college events throughout the
year. So this exposes us to various methods of learning. And basically it shows you where you
stand in the outside world . Because of all this, several of our ex- students have branched out
into para-architectural fields, such as architectural journalism, photography, and even
cinematography and similar such creative fields. Talking about exposure and creativity we have
our annual Fest Aakar; trust me during this time, many of us have discovered this hidden talent
within us, which was there throughout our life, but we never even knew about. As we say it,
everything is a form of art. Be it singing, dancing, or even performing a particular sport. Over
here, you will realize It's not just about architecture, architecture, architecture, but shaping
your whole personality as a whole and creating your own individuality.
So all the best guys, hoping to see you all very soon, all of you will be very lucky and soon
you will be making this your place and wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
Ar. Spurty Kamat
Academic Year 2020-21 (S.Y..B’Arch)
Hi, I'm Spurty Kamat from the second year of architecture at L.S. Raheja School
of Architecture. I'm glad to be a part of this institute because it's much more than just an
education institution. It is a family where all the seniors and faculties are always looking out for
you. The college not only aims to raise us as good architects, but also as good human beings by
giving equal importance towards our holistic development.
...
During a college Fest, a large number of cultural and sporting events along
with a number of talks and workshops are organized for us to display as well as discover our own
individual talents. Even during the pandemic situation, the faculty ensured that our academics
are not affected. We are so lucky to be a part of this Institute and be cared for so well.
Ar. Tanvi Pagare
Hi, my name is Tanvi Pagare, and I am currently in the fifth year. I think
having been a part of L.S.R. from the past four years of my life. One thing that I've certainly
learned is seeking inspiration from the people around me. And by this, I'm referring to a lot of my
classmates and my seniors who recently graduated. They're all so incredibly talented and they have
so much to offer.
...
I think the people that I have been surrounded by have driven me and really
molded my perspective.
NASA has definitely been one of the highlights of this journey, and it consisted of a lot of
blood, sweat tears debate, sleepless nights and a lot of chaos. But what I could take away from
it and my growth from it and the connections that I could establish through NASA, it has been
invaluable. I think LSR actually encourages students to widen the horizon and divulging things
beyond academia or when it comes to learning. In fact, I was a part of our vernacular
sustainability study program in Vietnam, which actually occurred in the middle of my academic
semester, but they still encouraged me to go forward with it.
The international study tours also make learning a lot more fun. And so many of the professors,
takes pain taking efforts to make sure that the journeys of vernacular sustainability study
program in Vietnam, which actually occurred in the middle of my academic semester, but they
still encourage me to go forward with it.
The international study tour also make learning a lot more fun. And so many of the professors,
take pain taking efforts to make sure that this journey is a smoother same for us. As we go
higher of the classes, they begin to treat us like friends and they encourage us to approach
them whenever, however, in whatever circumstances we are. And I am so grateful for that. And I
think I will only continue to express my gratitude in the future, and I will leave the rest of
it to my graduation speech on my graduation day. Thank you.
