Admission Eligibility 
Higher Secondary Certificate (Science/Commerce/Arts) or equivalent education.

CriteriaAptitude Test (Admissions through Merit)

(The candidate is eligible to attempt the Aptitude Test only if he/she has passed the HSC or equivalent examination board. The passing scores of HSC or equivalent examination board shall not be considered for the merit list unless there is a tie in scores of Merit list while granting admission for the only available seat. The merit list shall be based on the scores of Aptitude Test only.)  

Intake: 60 students for fresh Admissions to Academic year 2024 – 25.

Registration form for Aptitude Test & Counseling:
The Candidates aspiring to take admission to B.Voc (ID) programme shall fill the form in the institutes admin office on the ground floor, at Bombay Suburban Art and Craft Education Society, L.S. Raheja School of Architecture for the academic year 2024 – 25.

The eligible candidates shall select appropriate options in the form. Please visit the college with and make payment of Rupees 1300 only towards the Aptitude Test in the admin department on the ground floor.

Mon – Friday – 9.30 am to 3.30 pm
Saturday – 9.30 am to 1.00pm

7) Address proof – Aadhar Card (compulsory) + Passport / Voter’s ID/ Electricity  Bill / Driving License (any one)

9) Photo: Scanned Passport size photo (35mm X 45mm) to be uploaded

Two Passport size photos (35mm X 45mm) with white background to be submitted during physical admission document verification.
(For candidates seeking admission under reserved category following additional documents shall be submitted for scrutiny and eligibility)

Note: Admission shall be approved only after verification of the original documents to be collected during the admission procedure and payment of full fees for the academic year 2024-2025, till then the admission shall be treated provisional.

Aptitude Test

Proceeding

Bombay Suburban Art and Craft Education Society, L. S. Raheja School of Architecture shall conduct the Aptitude Test on behalf of the University Of Mumbai for granting the admissions for 60 seats in the B.Voc (ID) programme. Only eligible candidates shall appear for the entrance exam. The entrance exam is taken offline for all the candidates at the institute premise on a pre-announced date and updated schedule.  B.Voc – Interior Design Admission Schedule for AY 2024 – 2025 mentioned at the end of the page.

The Candidates and their guardians are requested to remain updated about aptitude exams through the institute website. Only Aptitude Test score shall be considered for preparing the Merit list. In case of Tie the higher Merit Rank shall be offered to candidate as per norms and guidelines for the reservations  prescribed by the University of Mumbai & Govt of Maharashtra.

Context 
This Test measures the aptitude of the admission aspiring candidate in the field of Interior Design. The test is based on drawing, observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity, general knowledge, critical & lateral thinking ability in logical analysis. 
Note: The Aptitude Test will assess the general aptitude of the applicant, and the institute does not encourage applicants to join any formal training for the same. 

Duration: 3 Hours.
Marks: Maximum marks 200
Aptitude Test Fees: Rs.1300/-
(To be paid in cash in the admin office on the ground floor in the college to complete the registration process for the aptitude test.)

Important: Incase of any changes the candidate will be informed about the same via email, as per data received from the Aptitude Test Registration Form.  Candidates are therefore requested to give their own correct email id and Mobile number.

Stationary Equipments 
In case of offline examination Candidates shall carry necessary personal stationary materials like Drawing Pencils, Erasers, Black Gel Pens, Scale, Geometrical Compass box, Exam Pad, Any suitable Rendering material like – Colour Pencils / water colors / sketch pens / oil pastels, etc.  
Note drawing papers shall be provided by the institute at the examination hall.

Statutory Documents to be carried during examination 
The receipt given by the office/ receipt generated through submission of an online registration form. Treat it as your ADMIT CARD for the Aptitude Test. 
Proof of Identity- Original Aadhar/ Passport/ Driving Licence (anyone)

Format of aptitude test
The Aptitude Test question paper comprises Section 1 & Section 2, comprising 100 marks each. Separate answer booklet and Drawing paper shall be given for section 1 and section 2 respectively. 

Section- 1 Content – Aesthetic Sensitivity / General Aptitude 100 Marks 

  • Aesthetic Sensitivity test will contain Multiple-Choice Questions
  • Questions based on Observation Skills, Logical Reasoning, Visual Analysis, General Knowledge and General Aptitude. 

(P.S. No negative marking shall be done for wrong answers)

Section- 2 Content – Drawing Test 100 Marks  
This section is based to test drawing aptitude of the candidate on the following aspects: 

  • Proportionate Sketch
  • Sense of perspective
  • Rendering in visually appealing manner
  • Visualising and showing the effects of light on the object and its corresponding shadow Drawing 
  • Combining and composing given three dimensional elements to form a building or structural form 
  • Creating interesting two dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms.
  • Creating visual harmony using colours in given composition 
  •  Understanding of scale and proportions 
  • Pencil sketch through Memory on themes from day to day experiences. 

Assessment Criteria
The Answer to each question in the paper will be examined. The primary emphasis in scoring the aptitude test is on the candidate’s drawing, imagination, General Knowledge and observation skills. The candidate’s sense of proportion and perspective are also evaluated along with sense for colour and composition. Examiner and Moderators decisions shall be final and abiding in terms of paper assessment.

General Instructions

  • Candidates must have the receipt [ADMIT CARD] given by the office / generated online on submission of form for admission to the Examination Hall. 
  • Candidates, not possessing the ADMIT CARD and valid photo identity (in original) shall not be allowed to enter in the Examination Hall by the Center-in-Charge. 
  • Candidates found carrying any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers or any other material except those listed, inside Examination Hall, will be debarred from the examination. 
  • Mobile Phones, Bluetooth devices, Calculators, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Electronic Watches with facilities of Calculator are not allowed in the Examination Hall. Possession of such items during the Examinations may lead to cancellation of the candidature. 
  • No candidate, without the special permission of the Center-in-Charge, will leave his/her seat or Examination Hall until the duration of examination gets over. 
  • Candidates shall maintain silence during the examination. Any conversation or gesticulation or disturbance in the examination hall shall be deemed as misdemeanour. If a candidate is found adopting unfair means, his/her candidature shall be canceled and he/she will be liable to be debarred from the said examination either permanently or for a period according to the nature of offense. 
  • The Aptitude test shall NOT be conducted again, under any circumstances for those students who remain absent on the scheduled date and time of the Aptitude Test for any reason.
